Nueva York
Caracas Arepa Bar - 1/2 Avenue, East 7th Street, New York, NY
Of all filled-bread-fast-food in the world arepas is probably my favorite. Hailing from Venezuela, South America arepas is a small bread made from corn stuffed with all sorts of great stuff. Chicken, chorizo, caramelized onion, cheese and lot's of other things. If you don't have plans on going to Venezuela there are other places to get your arepas. In East Village, Manhattan there's a place called Caracas Arepa Bar (there's another one in Brooklyn) where you can get your hands on these goodies. Apart from the arepas there's a bunch of nice side orders such as fried plantains, taro root chips with guacamole and black beans.
Arepa with chorizo and chicken, black beens and Brazilian beer.
Chorizo and cheese.
Chicken and caramelized onion.
Chorizo and chicken.
